Dress Relationship

31 01 2011

“Relationships–of all kinds–are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold onto some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost.”
-Kaleel Jamison

This quote actually applies to everything, even to dresses!

I have this dress that I don’t wear much.  It’s sort of my favorite dress and I’m afraid to ruin it so it always stays in my closet.  It’s like a polo dress with side pockets.  I decided to wear it to Church last Saturday.  But when I took it out of my closet I saw that the pocket part of it is ripped.  Maybe my dress ripped itself or my closet did it.   I never let my dress out so it decided to commit suicide.  Good thing that it can only ruin the pocket part, it can still be save.

I’m never gonna hold on too tightly to my dresses again. 😀
