Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

8 02 2011

So, here are some of the things you’d find in this book that you wouldn’t find in the rest of the series.

First, the Hogwarts Theme Song (click here to listen)

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, hoggy warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling,
With some interesting stuff,
For now they’re bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we’ve forgot,
Just do your best, we’ll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot.

Second, the first Gryffindor password during Harry’s stay–Caput Draconis.  (second’s Pig Snout)

Third, Dumbledore’s few words before the banquet begins; Nitwit!  Blubber!  Oddment!  Tweak!  OK.  This was mentioned again in the last part of book 6, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (am I right?), but still, you read it first here, in the first book. 😀

And of course, this is where Harry first learned that he is a wizard, that his parents didn’t die in a car crash but was really murdered by Voldemort (I’m not afraid of the name), this is where He, Ron, and Hermione became best friends, this is where Harry first noticed how Snape hated him, and so on and so forth.

This is where you’d find all the first in Harry’s life.  So therefore, you’d find all his second in the second book.  Lol! 😀

“After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.” – Albus Dumbledore
